I was able to get length and volume that I like relatively easily without having to do much work at all with two ‘lazy’ coats. I was able to also get a jet black “wet” look without flaking or smudging throughout the day, but because the brush is so big, there was some clean-up needed to make it look neat after application. Not a deal breaker but also not something that happens as much for me with thinner brushes.

Yes, this one sounds like it suits you well. It looks great and you can really tell the difference in a quality mascara. Those titles and names of some makeup are hilarious.
